Home to the greenest building in the State of Utah, the Swaner Eco Center, and with the recent surge in green municipality projects, Park City is at the forefront of green and sustainable building. Likewise, the Park City Home Builders Association lead the way in starting the first Build Green Utah program for green home building, of which Thad Peterson (founder of GreenTech Design/Build) was Co-Chair for its first two years. Thad has also designed and built 4 homes entered into the Park City Showcase of Homes, one being the first remodeled entry, all of them being carefully integrated on spectacular sites. Surrounded by such beautiful landscapes and plentiful resources in snow capped mountains, life giving streams and protected wet lands- Park City is truly a resort and recreation area to be enjoyed by all if managed wisely and not abused.
